Overview
This guide explains how to configure an installed Ricoh printer on Windows 11 Pro for Locked Printing.
Proper configuration requires:
- Your domain username to be automatically populated in the User ID field
- Your full Employee ID code entered in the required fields
Requirements
- Windows 11 Pro
- Ricoh printer already installed
- Your full Employee ID code
How to Configure Locked Printing (Windows 11)
- Open Settings
- Select Bluetooth & devices
- Click Printers & scanners
- Select your Ricoh printer
- Click Printing preferences
- On the Basic tab
- Click Modify and select Locked Print from the drop-down
- Under User ID select Windows Login Name from the drop-down
This will automatically populate your domain username in the User ID field - Enter your full Employee ID code in the Password field
- Confirm the User ID shows your domain username
- Click OK to save settings
- Click Apply, then OK to exit
Important Notes
- The User ID must be your domain username
- The Password must be your full Employee ID
- Incorrect configuration will prevent jobs from appearing at the printer
How to Release a Locked Print Job
- Go to the Ricoh printer
- From the printer home screen select Printer
- Select the Print Jobs tab
- Choose your document and release it using your full Employee ID
Troubleshooting
- Print job does not appear at the printer:
- Verify Job Type is set to Locked Print
- Confirm the User ID is your domain username
- Confirm the Password is your full Employee ID
- User ID is blank or incorrect:
- Ensure Use Windows login name is checked or selected from the drop-down.
- Re-open Printing Preferences and verify fields
